Safe and healthy Gurnee preschool

Safety has always been a top priority. Now, more than ever our Preschool Manager and staff have put additional safety protocols in place. Currently, students and teachers are required to wear masks / face coverings at all times. In addition, Growing Tree Preschool staff adheres to normal cleaning, sanitizing and hand washing protocols. Preschool management continues to update safety protocols that follow Restore Illinois and CDC guidelines. More information will be provided to parents and guardians prior to the start of the school year.

In addition to COVID-19 safety protocols, our staff takes pride in their certifications. All staff have received first aid, CPR, AED and DCFS mandated reporter training. In addition, both Viking Park Community Center and Hunt Club Community Center locations include well-equipped classrooms with exceptional, private playgrounds and indoor learning environments. All classrooms are locked during class and pickup procedures allow children to be released only to authorized adults.

There's a schedule to fit every need

Full day Preschool, half day Preschool, after school care and summer options are all available to fit the needs of each student. Both Viking Park Community Center and Hunt Club Community offer every option to make pick up and drop off as convenient as possible.

Prepare for kindergarten

Growing Tree Preschool curriculum is based on the State of Illinois Early Learning Standards. Children learn language arts, math, science, social science, fine arts, foreign language as well as the importance of physical and developmental health. Growing Tree Preschool collaborates and works closely with local Gurnee school districts to ensure children are ready for their next academic step.

Excellent staff  

Growing Tree Preschool teachers have an average of 12 years of teaching experience. All have earned advanced degrees and obtain 10 continuing education credit in early childhood on an annual basis. Each continue to be committed to provide education for each child in order to create a strong foundation for social and academic success.
