The petitioner and property owner, Bob O’Link Golf Club, of 1120 Crofton Avenue N, Highland Park, IL 60035, with legal representative Harold W. Francke, of Meltzer, Purtill & Stelle LLC, request the following:

Application 19-03-VAR-006, a request by authority of Section 150.1204(A)(1) and Section 150.1204(A)(12), of the Highland Park Zoning Code, a variation of provisions of Section 150.703 and Section 150.712, as required under the R1 and R4 zoning districts, to (i) to encroach within the required side yard of 836.3 feet by 649.3 feet to a proposed setback of 187 feet from the south property line, (ii) to encroach within the total depth side yard requirement of 861 feet by 649.3 feet to a proposed 211.7 feet, and (iii) and to increase the allowed lineal feet of exterior wall openings for vehicular entry (garage doors) from the maximum permitted 36 lineal feet by 224 feet to 260 lineal feet.

Application 2021-VAR-017, a request by authority of Section 94.407 of the Highland Park Code, as amended, for a Tree Removal Permit for Heritage Trees, to remove seven (7) Heritage Trees located on the Subject Property: two white oaks, two swamp white oaks, and three burr oaks, located generally within the southeast part of the Bob O’Link Golf Club.

The applications are requested in order to construct new accessory structures for a proposed turf care facility that will include an equipment storage building, administrative/shop building, turf care materials storage building, dumpsters, new parking area and drive aisles, fueling and washing facility, and other accessory structures and uses. The project area is located generally within the southeast part of the Bob O’Link Golf Club property, generally to the west of the Edgewood Middle School, generally to the west from the Northmoor Country Club across Crofton Avenue S, and generally west of and abutting Crofton Avenue S. 6) New Business:
