• The petitioner, Giselle Zepeda,is seeking approval of a Home Occupation Permit to operate a personal care business d/b/a Ace Sculpting from her residence at 708 West Roosevelt St. Action requested is to approve or deny the application.
10. Home Occupation Permit Application for Property Located at 706 West Metzen St.
• The petitioner, Linda Bustos, is seeking approval of a Home Occupation Permit d/b/a Linda’s Beauty LLC from her residence at 706 West Metzen St. Action requested is to approve or deny the application.
11. Harvard Milk Days Proposed Improvements at Milky Way Park
• Per the Park Board’s recommendation, action requested is to approve the proposed improvements and infrastructure upgrades at Milky Way Park.
12. HERS Special Event Liquor License
• HERS requested a Special Event Liquor License for Sunday, July 25, 2021 from 8 am - 6 pm at the HERS Softball Fields. The fees have been paid and dram shop insurance submitted. Action requested is to sanction the Mayor’s approval of the request.
13. Resolution CDBG Grant Application and Commitment of Funds
• Action requested is to adopt a resolution for the 2021 CDBG Grant Application for the following project: Sidewalks Removal and Replacement/NRSA in the amount of $62,000
14. Award Contract Northfield Avenue Sanitary Sewer Lining
• Project bids were opened on Thursday, July 22, 2021. Action requested is to award the contract to Hoerr Construction, Inc. for their low bid in the amount of $174,200.00 and to authorize execution of all contract documents.
15. RFP for the Establishment of a Residential Solid Waste Collection and Disposal Service
• Sealed proposals to be opened. Action requested is to refer proposals to the Administration Committee for review.
16. Proposed Ordinance Amending Section 13A.02C Use of Sewers Required and Section 13B.03B, Use of Water Facilities Required.
• Action requested is to approve the ordinance as presented.
17. Community Development Committee Recommendations
a. Old Police Station – 201 & 205 W. Front St.
Proposed Ordinance Declaring Certain City Owned Real Estate Commonly Known as 201 & 205 West Front St. and Building Contents as Surplus and Authorizing the Sale of the Surplus Property Action requested is to approve the proposed ordinance as presented.
18. Transportation Committee Meeting Recommendations
a. Library Parking Lot/Driveway
Action requested is to approve the Committee’s recommendation to close the connection between the Swimming Pool and the Library and to work with the Library Board on funding issues.
b. Post Office Sidewalk
Action requested is to approve the Committee’s recommendation to move forward with Option #1 and to work around the existing trees.
19. Proposed Street Parking on Bourn St. and Blaine St.
• Action requested is to grant authority to the Transportation Committee to review and act upon Harvard High School parking request due to time sensitivity
