Report on Lake County Children’s Advocacy Center Juror Fees Donation Pilot Program.

Carrie Flanigan, State's Attorney's Office, gave an overview of the Children's Advocacy Center. The program is only five percent of the budget. A new resolution needs to be completed for the next committee meeting for approval. Discussion ensued.

8.9 21-1123

Joint resolution authorizing an amendment for a three month extension of the Lake County Children’s Advocacy Center’s Victim of Crime Act (VOCA) victim advocate grant program, awarded by the Children’s Advocacy Centers of Illinois (CACI) for Fiscal Year (FY) 2021, including an increase in grant funding of $110,644.

Carrie Flanigan, State's Attorney's Office, gave an overview of the grant for the Children's Advocacy program. The funding will be used for accreditation. Discussion ensued.

A motion was made by Member Altenberg, seconded by Member Roberts, that this resolution be approved and referred on to the Financial and Administrative Committee. Motion carried by the following roll call vote:

Not Present: 1 - Member Parekh

9. County Administrator's Report

• 911 Consolidation IGA Extension.

Jim Hawkins, Deputy County Administrator, reported the consortium is looking to extend the existing intergovernmental agreement for another 12 months. The operations committee met last week and was unanimously approved. Next week the Policy Committee will meet to approve the agreement. The Law and Judicial Committee unanimously agreed to stay engaged with the 911 consortium.

12. Adjournment

Chair Cunningham declared the meeting adjourned at 9:29 a.m.
