City of Highwood Committee of the Whole met Aug. 17.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

CALL TO ORDER By Mayor Pecaro at 6:12 P.M.

1. Roll Call

Present: Aldermen Levi, Slavin, Falberg, Fiore, Peterson and Hospodarsky

Also Present: City Manager Coren, Assistant City Manager Martin, City Attorney Jablecki and Administrative Assistant Litjens

2. Public Hearing

3. Review of Minutes to be Approved

3.1. City Council: August 03, 2021

Minutes will be approved as presented at the Regular City Council meeting.

3.2. Committee of the Whole: August 03, 2021

Minutes will be approved as presented at the Regular City Council meeting.

4. Appointments (Mayor Pecaro)

5. Review of Bill Warrant List

5.1. 08/17/2021 AP Warrant List

The Warrant List will be approved for payment at the Regular City Council meeting. 6. Unfinished Business

7. New Business

7.1 Consideration of a Resolution Approving an ARC Application for Façade Revisions at 406 Green Bay Road.

This will be approved at the Regular City Council meeting subject to the use of common brick in coordination with Staff.

7.2 Consideration of an Ordinance of the City of Highwood, Lake County, Illinois, Providing for the Issuance, in One or More Series, Not to Exceed $10,250,000 General Obligation Bonds, Series 2021, Providing the Details of Such Bonds and for a Levy of Taxes Sufficient to Pay the Principal of and Interest on Such Bonds, and Related Matters. This will be approved at the Regular City Council meeting.

7.3 Consideration of an Ordinance Authorizing the Mayor to Execute an Assignment and Assumption of Contract for the Purchase of 420-424 Sheridan Road and a Memorandum of Understanding Between the City of Highwood and Highwood Development LLC Concerning the Redevelopment of Downtown Highwood.

This will be approved at the Regular City Council meeting.

7.4 Consideration of an Ordinance Approving Certain Amendments to the Highwood City Code Pertaining to Fees and Charges and Sections Related Thereto and Amending the Comprehensive Fee Schedule.

This will be approved at the Regular City Council meeting subject to clarification of hourly fees.

7.5 A Review of a Map on Development within the TIF District in Highwood and a Discussion on the Inventory of Properties.

City Manager Coren went over various properties and their development.

8. Executive Session (If Necessary)

9. Any Action Necessary Coming Out of Executive Session

10. Adjournment moved by Alderman Fiore and seconded by Alderman Hospodarsky to adjourn the meeting. Mayor Pecaro adjourned the meeting at 7:30 P.M.
