On Dec. 23, Vernon Eugene Wheeler Jr. sold their property at 2333 Western Ave., Waukegan to James L. Jones II for $195,000.

The amount paid for property taxes on this property in 2020 was $4,727.86, 2.42% of the sale price of the home.

So far in December 2021, 49 properties sold in Waukegan.

According to the Illinois State Board of Elections, Gene Wheeler has been registered to vote since 1972 and has voted in at least two primary elections, records show, including two Republican Primaries.

The Illinois State Board of Elections data shows that there were three registered voters residing at 2333 Western Ave. as of Oct. 10, 2020: Brandi N. Buie, 37, Gene Wheeler, 70, and Gloria P. Buie, 66.
