Greetings!
Don’t Let The Cold Weather Keep You Cooped Up!
Bundle up and venture outside to experience nature! The Village of Hawthorn Woods boasts a total of 25 parks located within our “rural by design” community.
Here’s how you and your family can enjoy our many parks during winter:
- Take a trek along one of our walking trails at Community Park, Bridlewoods Park, Heritage Oaks Park, or Brierwoods Preserve.
- Go sledding at the Community Park sled hill as pictured here.
- Cross-country ski, go snowshoeing, build a snowman, or flutter about to create a snow angel at any of our park sites.
We invite you to send us pictures or videos of your winter park excursions. Please send them to Brian Sullivan, Director of Parks and Recreation, at bsullivan@vhw.org, so we might post them to our Village website or Facebook page.
All of our parks are open year-round.
