Report: Fox Lake Grade School District spent $16,100 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Fox Lake Grade School District 114 was up 27 percent from five years ago, according to the Lake County Gazette analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Lake County school district spent $12,676 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $16,100 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 781 to 707 students over the same period.

Fox Lake Grade's spending in 2019-20 was 11.1 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
