The Lincolnshire Police Department participated in a statewide, traffic enforcement campaign with a focus on impaired drivers from March 11 through March 18. Lincolnshire officers joined the Illinois State Police and more than 160 local police and sheriff’s departments for the increased enforcement effort. Lincolnshire Police conducted one additional patrol totaling seven hours. During the seven hours of additional enforcement, 11 traffic stops were initiated.
The results from those traffic stops are:
• One DUI drugs
• One suspended driver’s license
• One possession of drugs
• Three speeding citations
• Five other traffic citations • Five written warnings The Village of Lincolnshire, 1957, is a northern suburb of Chicago and is conveniently adjacent to the TriState Tollway.
