Rising home prices in Waukegan in Q2

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2022 in Waukegan rose by $2,000 while total sales increased by 213 percent, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June, there were 216 homes sold, with a median sale price of $185,000 - a 1.1 percent increase over the $183,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 69 homes sold in Waukegan in the second quarter of 2021.

The median sales tax in Waukegan for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $4,167, approximately 2.3 percent of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2022.
