Lake County Liquor Control Commission met Aug. 22.

Here are the minutes provided by the commission:

1. Call to Order

Chair Hart called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.

Present 4 - Commissioner Casbon, Commissioner Hart, Commissioner Hunter and Commissioner Pedersen

Others present:

Dan Brown, State's Attorney's Office

Jamie Helton, State's Attorney's Office

Kyle Brasewicz, Sheriff's Office

Jenny Garcia, Court Reporter

Kevin Quinn, Communications

Kristy Cechini, County Board Office

Casandra Hiller, County Administrator's Office

Robert Springer, Planning, Building, Development

Delilah Banuelos, J&D's Bar and Grill

Ashley Gilbert, North Point Kitchen

Joel Gilbert, North Point Kitchen

2. Pledge of Allegiance

Chair Hart led the Pledge of Allegiance.

3. Addenda to the Agenda

There was no additions or amendments to the agenda.

4. Public Comment

There was no public comment.

7. New Business

CONSENT AGENDA

7.1 22-1158

Minutes from July 25, 2022.

A motion was made by Commissioner Casbon, seconded by Commissioner Pedersen, that these minutes be approved. The motion carried by the following voice vote:

7.2 22-1155

J&D’s Bar and Grill hearing and application review for a Class B license to be added to the existing Class A license in unincorporated Wauconda.

Delilah Banuelos was sworn in by the court reporter.

Jamie Helton, State's Attorney's Office, asked questions in regards to the Class B outdoor license to be added to the Class A license.

The Liquor Commission approved the Class B license.

7.3 22-1157

7-Eleven hearing and application review for a Manager application.

Joseph Clarke was sworn in by the court reporter.

Jamie Helton, State's Attorney's Office, asked questions in regards to the Management application for 7-Eleven.

The Liquor Commission approved the Manager application for 7-Eleven.

7.4 22-1156

North Point Kitchen and Bar hearing and application review for a new Class A/B License in unincorporated Lake Zurich.

Ashley and Joel Gilbert were sworn in by the court reporter.

Jamie Helton, State's Attorney's Office, asked questions in regards to the application for North Point Bar and Grill.

Robert Springer was sworn in by the court reporter.

A discussion ensued with the construction of the establishment.

The Liquor Commission approved a Class A/B license contingent upon the Certificate of Habitability.

7.5 22-1161

Discussion for the Board to vote on increasing the Gaming Terminal Fees.

The Liquor Commission agreed to change the fee from $25 to $250 per video gaming device.

Chair Hart declared the hearing adjourned at 9:36 a.m.
