State Rep. Blaine Wilhour (R-Beecher City) has scheduled three early-day sessions for later in April, during which he will meet with constituents from his newly formed 110th District.

His upcoming traveling office hours will be held Wednesday, April 12 in Mulberry Grove, Ramsey, and Vandalia, with each of the three sessions lasting 90 minutes beginning at 8:30 a.m. at Ramsey Village Hall.

Wilhour has received appointments to multiple Illinois House Committees for the 103rd General Assembly, including an appointment to serve as the House GOP spokesman and ranking member of the Illinois House Elementary and Secondary Education Appropriations Committee, and the House Elementary and Secondary Education School Curriculum and Policies Committee.

“I am proud to announce my appointment to serve as the House GOP spokesman and ranking member of the Illinois House Elementary and Secondary Education Appropriations Committee, and the House Elementary and Secondary Education School Curriculum and Policies Committee,” Wilhour wrote in another release. “The State of Illinois spends enormous sums of money on public education. Taxpayers will benefit from having a strong voice for conservative governance to help keep spending in check. I have a strong record as a fiscal conservative, but I will be fighting to ensure that state education funding is distributed fairly and efficiently. As a strong supporter of local control, I will stand against irresponsible attempts by Democrats to implement critical race theory and inappropriate sexual education into the curriculum for our students."

To schedule a time to discuss issues or receive help with a state program, 110th District residents that include voters from Bond, Clay, Clinton, Effingham, Fayette, Marion, Montgomery and Richland Counties are encouraged to call the district office or reach out online at RepWilhour.com, according to a release on Wilhour's website.
