Lake County Consolidated Election Day is one week away, on April 4

Lake County municipal officials, including mayors, village board members and school board members, are on the ballot on April 4, the first Tuesday in April.

A total of 558 candidates will compete for 203 municipal offices, including 70 contests for city and village, 53 for park, fire and library boards and 64 for school boards.

There are no voter referendums on the April 4 ballot.

In 2021, the last Lake County Consolidated Election, it had 486,118 registered voters and 68,268 cast ballots, or 14.04 percent.

In the 2019 Lake County Consolidated Election, it had 455,201 registered voters and 50,844 cast ballots, or 11.17 percent.
