Lake Forest Festival and Fireworks to be held at Deer Path Middle School on July 4

"Celebrating 125 Years Family Fest Birthday Bash With Scott Green Magic And Foam Party" will be held 1-3 p.m. on July 8 at Lake Forest Library. The event will be held on the front lawn or will move to the Kasian Room in the case of rain. Bring your family to a library birthday bash with refreshments and entertainment. Treats include cookies, drinks, Kona Shaved Ice, and Munchies from the Left Bank available for purchase. A Scott Green magic show will be held at 1 p.m., followed by a foam party held at 2 p.m. Wear clothes that you can get messy! Plus, it's not too late to sign up for Summer Reading!

"Lake Forest Festival and Fireworks" will be held at 5 p.m. on July 4 at Deer Path Middle School. This yearly community celebration and fundraiser was established by the Friends of Lake Forest Parks and Recreation Foundation in 2006 to provide an enjoyable and safe environment for families seeking to celebrate Independence Day. 

Musical performers throughout the event's history have included the Village People, Dennis DeYoung, KC and the Sunshine Band, Eddie Money, Rick Springfield, Wynonna, and Lou Gramm. Pricing information is as follows: Lake Forest/Lake Bluff residents: $25 - Price increases to $30 on June 20 at 8 a.m.; Non-residents: $30 - Price increases to $35 on June 20 at 8 a.m.; VIP Adult Pass: $125 (Includes admission, catered food and beverages) - Price increases to $150 on June 20 at 8 a.m.; VIP Youth Pass: $50 (15 and under. Must be accompanied by VIP Adult Pass) - Price increases to $75 on June 20 at 8 a.m.; Kids under 5 are free; Tickets are available at the gate.
