According to the National Domestic Violence Hotline, domestic violence is more widespread than commonly believed. In light of this, the organization urges individuals to play their part in promoting healthy and safe relationships during Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

"Sadly, domestic violence is more common than people think. We can all do our part to encourage healthy, safe relationships this Domestic Violence Awareness Month by learning the warning signs of abuse and sharing resources to help," stated a Hotline spokesperson.

The National Domestic Violence Hotline provides a free and confidential service that operates 24/7. Individuals who wish to learn more about domestic violence and how to seek assistance can visit their website here.

If you or someone you know is currently experiencing relationship abuse, immediate help is available. Contact the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233 or text "START" to 88788.

By raising awareness and providing resources, the National Domestic Violence Hotline aims to combat domestic violence and support those affected by it. Together, we can make a difference in promoting healthy relationships and preventing abuse.
