City of North Chicago Finance/Audit Committee met Sept. 5.
Here are the minutes provided by the committee:
Alderman Allen called the meeting to order.
ROLL CALL:
Present: Jackson, Coleman, Evans, Allen, Smith, January
Absent: Murphy
I. DISCUSSION OF TREASURER’S REPORT – JULY 2023
Treasurer Vance Wyatt provided the monthly report for July 2023.
Alderman January inquired if the grant was received from the State; Treasurer Wyatt stated not at this time; she clarified they were specifically earmarked for the Sheridan cleanup; Alderman Allen questioned concerning the city money; Treasurer Wyatt explained was located on pg. 4 though not itemized; the next larger payment would be in the end of September 2023. The funds should be placed on the next report in October 2023.
Alderman Coleman questioned process of the 2022 Audit Report; Treasurer Wyatt explained annual filing with the IL Comptroller’s Office; there was also a budget presentation months ago; the numbers from the audit were city-required.
II. DISCUSSION OF FY2023 ANNUAL TREASURER’S REPORT
Treasurer Wyatt provided the 2023 Annual report. It was required annually and he explained the process.
Alderman January moved, seconded by Alderman Evans that the Finance/Audit Committee Meeting stand adjourned.
