Property owners at 1760 Ryders Lane in Highland Park are seeking permission from the Zoning Board of Appeals to build an addition to their home that would encroach upon setbacks and building lines. Trent and Jennifer Niederberger are requesting approval for the construction of an addition that would replace their existing patio. The addition would encroach into the front yard setback and the subdivision build line by almost 34 feet on the north property line. The proposed addition would be 356 square feet in size, replacing the current 681-square-foot patio. The home, which was built in 1959, predates the completion of the River Ridge Subdivision Plant in 1969. The Niederbergers' application will be reviewed by the Zoning Board of Appeals on November 2nd.
