The Fremont Public Library is extending an invitation to the community for an open house celebration, showcasing the significant renovations and improvements made over the past year. The library, situated at 1170 N. Midlothian Road, Mundelein, has undergone substantial changes.
According to a Fremont Public Library news release on the Village of Mundelein website, the open house celebration is scheduled from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 18. The event will also serve as a platform to welcome Laura Long, the new library director.
The Fremont Public Library news release further elaborated on the transformations within the library premises. New carpeting has been installed, along with a newly-opened space on the second floor, and a dedicated area for teenagers. In addition to these enhancements, there are also additional study and activity spaces designed for all age groups.
The same news release detailed that visitors, of all ages, are encouraged to participate in various activities during the open house celebration. These include a library-wide scavenger hunt, behind-the-scenes tours, live music performances and crafts. Attendees will also have an opportunity to win prizes. The event is free of charge and everyone is welcome to attend. For more information about this event, interested parties can call: 847-566-8702 or visit: fremontlibrary.org.
