Waukegan holding budget public hearing on March 25

The City Council of Waukegan has announced a public hearing on its budget and appropriations ordinance for the fiscal year commencing May 1 and concluding April 30, 2025.

According to a City of Waukegan press release, the public hearing is scheduled for 6 p.m. on March 25 at the City Hall Council Chambers located at 100 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Ave.

The same press release also states that from March 15, the public will have access to inspect a copy of the tentative Budget and Appropriations Ordinance both on the city's website and in the Office of the City Clerk. The clerk's office operates Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The City of Waukegan press release further informs that members of the public are welcome to attend the hearing where they can provide oral and written comments, as well as ask questions about the appropriation.
