Lake County Board candidate: We need to ‘replace Eric Reinhart’

Andy Dalkin, Lake County Board candidate, said that Eric Reinhart should be replaced by Mary Cole, who is tough on crime and dedicated to victims' rights, which Reinhart neglects. Dalkin was on a recent episode of the Lake Forest podcast.

"What we need to do is to replace Eric Reinhart; he is absolutely horrible," said Dalkin on the Lake Forest podcast. “Mary Cole and I have been working together quite a bit, she is phenomenal. I know that she would bring back what's necessary in the State's Attorney's office. She's tough on crime, but she is very much in the corner of victims and victims' rights, which is really important.”

"I don't think Eric Reinhart really cares about victims' rights," said Dalkin. "I know that Mary does, and that's one of the main reasons she's running — for the victims. As a state's attorney myself for so many years, I did it for them, for the victims and the people of Cook County. She's going to do the same for Lake County, so we need somebody tough on crime."

This full episode is available on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.

The latest edition of the podcast focused on Dalkin's insights on local issues, his law enforcement background, his community vision, campaign details, views on taxes, the Safety Act, and support for local law enforcement.

The Lake Forest podcast is hosted by Pete Jansons, an entrepreneur with a background in neuroscience, Rick Lesser, an attorney and former village trustee, and Joe Weiss, who has experience in multiple government and public service positions. The podcast covers topics and politics impacting the area around the city of Lake Forest, according to the Lake Forest podcast website.
