Jim Carris, a candidate for Congress in Illinois’ 10th District, has issued a statement in response to Vice President Kamala Harris' recent comments advocating for price controls. Carris expressed concerns over the economic impact of such measures and criticized his opponent, Rep. Brad Schneider.

“As inflation continues to strain family budgets, we need proactive leaders who will be strong advocates for policies that bring down the cost of everyday life. Instead, Rep. Brad Schneider supported massive government spending for years that raised prices and made the problem worse,” stated Carris. He further added, “As politicians push for price controls that will lead to supply shortages, reduced investment, and which will drive prices up in the long run, Schneider stands idly by. Silence and absence in moments like this are powerful displays of a lack of leadership. The 10th District deserves a representative who is fully engaged and advocates for effective solutions to our economic challenges. That is what I offer.”

Carris is positioning himself as an independent leader focused on economic issues, public safety, and national security within Chicago’s north and northwest suburbs, including Lake and portions of Cook and McHenry Counties.
