Jim Carris, an independent business leader running for Illinois’ 10th Congressional District, has released a new video detailing his experience of being hijacked and held hostage as a young boy by the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), a subset of the PLO.

“As someone who has lived through the horror of being a hostage, I know firsthand the importance of a strong, unwavering commitment to protecting innocent human lives and maintaining strong national security with ironclad allies like Israel,” Carris said. “My experience has instilled in me a deep understanding of the necessity for American leadership on the world stage.”

The video also highlights Carris’s dedication to advocating for the immediate release of remaining hostages, an effort he believes is not being adequately pursued by the current administration. He calls on both the Biden administration and Congressman Brad Schneider to take decisive action.
