State Representative Tom Weber (IL) | Representative Tom Weber (R) 64th District
Registration is now open for the 13th Annual Veterans History Project, to be held on Veterans Day. Organized by the 19th Judicial Circuit in Lake County, this event invites veterans to share their wartime experiences through interviews conducted by volunteer lawyers. These oral histories will be recorded and transcribed by court reporters before being archived in the Library of Congress.
The project aims to make these first-hand accounts accessible online, serving as an inspiration for future generations and providing valuable resources for researchers to better understand the realities of war. Civilians who actively supported war efforts—such as war industry workers, USO workers, civilian flight instructors and pilots, and medical personnel—are also encouraged to participate.
