Rep. McLaughlin’s annual Prescription Drug Drop Off & Shred Event is scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, September 7th, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the district office located at 28662 W. Northwest Hwy., Lake Barrington.
This free event for residents will be held at the District Office – 28662 W. Northwest Highway, Lake Barrington – just west of the Kelsey Road House. Attendees are instructed to turn right onto Hillview Avenue and then right into the parking lot. Participants can remain in their cars throughout the process.
"Do good for your neighbors and the environment by keeping prescription medications out of our aquifers which supply drinking water to most of our homes."
The event organizers will attempt to accommodate all shredding needs until the truck reaches capacity. The Sheriff’s office has noted that they are unable to accept needles or liquids.
