Jim Carris, a candidate for Illinois’ 10th Congressional District, has received endorsements from two prominent figures in Lincolnshire. Elizabeth Brandt, the Mayor of Lincolnshire, and Leslie Munger, a former Illinois Comptroller and resident of Lincolnshire, have publicly expressed their support for Carris.

Carris acknowledged the significance of these endorsements. “Elizabeth and Leslie have dedicated their lives to making Lincolnshire and the greater community stronger,” he stated. He emphasized that having their backing is invaluable because they understand the challenges faced by families in the district.

Mayor Brandt highlighted Carris's connection to the community. “Jim has deep roots in Lincolnshire, and he understands what matters most to our families because he’s lived it,” she said. She believes Carris will be an effective advocate for local communities, families, and businesses in Congress.

Munger also supports Carris due to his vision for progress that aligns with local priorities. For both leaders, endorsing Carris represents confidence in his ability to lead the 10th District into its next chapter.

Carris grew up in Lincolnshire and graduated from Stevenson High School. His ties to the community are strong; his wife is also a graduate of Stevenson High School. This connection has played a significant role in both their personal lives and careers.

As a local business leader running for Congress, Carris aims to focus on economic issues, public safety, and national security. The 10th District includes Chicago’s north and northwest suburbs across Lake County as well as parts of Cook and McHenry Counties.
