Lake Forest Schools has announced that freshman Isaac Arciniega has become the first boys bowler in Lake Forest High School's history. This announcement was made in a news release by District 115.
According to the release, Lake Forest High School freshman Isaac Arciniega competed in the North Suburban Conference Tournament on January 10, 2025, achieving a 153 average. Coached by Kim Jones, Arciniega will participate in the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Boys Bowling Regional at Bertrand Lanes in Waukegan on January 17.
The IHSA Boys Bowling State Series, introduced in 2003, remains a single-class competition. The 2024-25 season involves 260 schools, with regional, sectional, and state finals scheduled for January and February 2025. According to IHSA, teams and individuals advance based on total pin counts, with tiebreakers determined by two-frame roll-offs. State finals include 24 teams and 30 individuals, with top performers advancing to the final rounds.
Lake Forest High School was established in 1935 as a public secondary school serving grades 9–12 in Lake Forest, Illinois. Approximately 95% of its students pursue higher education, supported by personalized instruction and a collaborative school environment. Lake Forest Community High School District 115 serves approximately 1,500 students from Lake Forest, Lake Bluff, and Knollwood in grades 9–12.
