Residents needing to report a damaged mailbox or lawn, or having complaints or concerns related to snow plowing, can now use the Village's new online Service Request portal available on its website. The portal allows residents to complete the Snow Plowing-Damage Request and/or Snow Plowing/Removal forms, enabling them to provide detailed information and photos that will be routed directly to the responsible Village staff member. These requests are trackable and provide residents with status updates.
"Residents who report a damaged mailbox may be provided with a temporary mailbox from the Public Works Department based on the severity of the damage," said the Village's announcement. A temporary mailbox will be delivered to a resident's home for use until a permanent repair can be made or a replacement mailbox installed in spring.
The Village also acknowledged that while snow accumulations and property damages are often unintentional and sometimes unavoidable, they appreciate residents' understanding. "We express our sincere apologies for the inconvenience it can cause," said their statement.
