Christopher Hoff executive director of Lake County health department | Official Website
Christopher Hoff has been appointed as the new Executive Director of the Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center. The Lake County Board of Health announced that Hoff will assume his new role on March 10, 2025. He is currently serving as the Deputy Director of Public Health for the DuPage County Health Department, where he has contributed significantly for over a decade.
Board of Health President T.E. Sashko expressed confidence in Hoff's capabilities, stating, "Chris has extensive experience in public health and brings a focused vision for its future in Lake County." Sashko highlighted Hoff's reputation for strengthening community relationships and overseeing new initiatives.
Hoff's previous work includes leading community coalition efforts and managing public health emergency responses at the DuPage County Health Department. Before that, he held various roles at the Kane County Health Department for more than seven years.
In response to his appointment, Hoff said, "I am honored to be joining the Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center as its next Executive Director. I’m excited to be leading a dedicated team of public health professionals in Lake County."
Hoff holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from Marquette University and a Master of Public Health in Health Services Management from Northern Illinois University. He will succeed Mark Pfister, who retired in August 2024 after leading the agency for over eight years.
