City of Highwood Committee of the Whole met Jan. 21

CALL TO ORDER by Mayor Pecaro at 6:06 P.M.

1. Roll Call

Present: Aldermen Levi, Falberg, Fiore, Peterson and Hospodarsky

Absent: Aldermen Slavin

Also Present: City Manager Coren, Assistant City Manager Facchini, and City Attorney Jablecki

3.1. City Council: January 07, 2025

Minutes will be approved at the regular City Council meeting.

3.2. Committee of the Whole: January 07, 2025

Minutes will be approved at the regular City Council meeting.

5. Review of Bill Warrant List

5.1. 01/21/2025 AP Warrant List

The Warrant List will be approved at the regular City Council meeting.

6. Unfinished Business

7. New Business

7.1 Consideration of a Motion to Direct the City Manager to Accept a Bid from A Jules Construction to Construct a Park at 340 Green Bay Road and to Expend up to $425,000.

This will be approved at the regular City Council meeting.

7.2 Consideration of a Resolution Authorizing the Mayor to Execute a Real Estate Contract for the Sale of Real Estate Owned by the City of Highwood, Illinois.

This will be approved at the regular City Council meeting.

7.3 Consideration of an Ordinance Amending Section 5-4: Outdoor Burning of the Highwood City Code.

This will be approved, as amended, at the regular City Council meeting.

7.4 A Discussion on Various Revenues Available to Support Required Lead Service Line Replacement.

Discussion will continue at a future meeting.

7.5 Consideration of an Ordinance Revising the Salary and Compensation for the City of Highwood for the FYE 2025 Budget Year.

This will be approved at the regular City Council meeting.

7.6 A Discussion on Allowing Digital Signage in the City of Highwood. Discussion will continue at future meetings following additional staff research.

8. Executive Session (If Necessary) moved by Alderman Fiore and seconded by

Alderman Peterson to enter Executive Session under Section 2-C-? All present voting aye, by voice vote, motion carried at 7:15 P.M.

9. Any Action Necessary Coming Out of Executive Session

Moved by Alderman and seconded by Alderman to reconvene the Committee of the Whole meeting. All present voting aye, by voice vote, motion carried at 7:29 P.M.

10. Adjournment moved by Alderman and seconded by Alderman to adjourn the meeting. All present voting aye, by voice vote, motion carried. Mayor Pecaro adjourned the meeting at 7:33P.M.
