Fire Station 25 | Village of Buffalo Grove
Preparations are underway for the rebuild of Fire Station 25 in Buffalo Grove.
The current station at 505 W Dundee Road, constructed in 1975, is set to be
replaced after 50 years of service. The new facility aims to modernize and
expand operations, allowing the Fire Department to continue offering premier
emergency services.
With demolition planned for April, work is nearing completion on retrofitting
the Village’s former Public Works building at 51 Raupp Boulevard. This
location will serve as temporary quarters for Station 25 during construction.
Fire operations are expected to begin at this new site in the first week of
March, expediting the reconstruction project and reducing costs without
impacting emergency response times.
"A new, modernized and expanded facility will allow the Fire Department to
continue offering the premier level emergency services you’ve come to expect,"
said a village official.
The move means all services previously offered at the Dundee Road location,
including blood pressure checks and baby safe haven drop-off points, will
relocate to Raupp Boulevard.
Construction of the new Fire Station 25 on Dundee Road is scheduled to begin
in June and expected completion is slated for September 2026.
