The Winfield 34 Board of Education has announced its next Board Meeting for Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 7 p.m. The agenda includes presentations and discussions on Student Recognition, the School Lunch Program, Capital Plan Review, Tif 2, and changes in the Intergovernmental Agreement with the Deaf & Hard of Hearing/Vision Cooperative (DuPage-West Cook). Approvals to be considered include a change order to the video system update, building usage fees, registration fees, activity fees, employment of Mark Melsa as coach and Delia Ramirez & Leidy Vaca-Moreno as kitchen managers, and the resignation of a music/band teacher.
Public comments can be shared through a Google form or live at the meeting. The session will also be streamed live on Facebook.
Staff Soup and Salad Lunch
The Staff Soup and Salad Lunch is scheduled for Monday, February 24th. Contributions are still welcome via sign-up. Crock pots and non-disposable items should be labeled and left in the Central School office for pickup by Monday end-of-day or Tuesday morning.
Chicago Wolves Game
Tickets are available until February 28 for Family Fun Day at the Chicago Wolves game on Sunday, March 16 at 3:00 p.m. Tickets are priced at a discounted group rate of $25 for 100-Level Center Ice seats with an optional hot dog/soda voucher for $6.75. Cooks Night Out at Jersey Mike’s
Cooks Night Out will take place from Wednesday\, February 26 through Friday\, February 28 at Jersey Mike’s in Wheaton (2115 W. Roosevelt). Participants can support by dropping their receipts in the fundraiser box; Jersey Mike’s will donate15% back to the school.

Community Blood Drive: February25
A community blood drive hosted by Winfield Public Library in collaboration with Versiti Blood Systems is set for Tuesday\, February25 from3:00to7:00 p.m..
