Granite City Rotary February students of the month | Granite City Community Unit School District 9
The Rotary Club of Granite City recognized juniors Morgan Hayes and Emily Lievens as Students of the Month for February.
Students were nominated by teachers and chosen based on academics, scholastic, extracurricular, and civic honors and awards, as well as organization membership and leadership.
Each honoree will receive a framed certificate and a gift card. They will be recognized at the Mayors' Prayer Breakfast on March 25, 2025.
Morgan Hayes is a two-year member of the girls golf team, part of Saturday Scholars, has been on the High Honor Roll for two years, earned Rookie of the Year, and is a member of Renaissance, Spirit Club, and Varsity Club. She also received the All-Warrior Academic Award and works in chemistry. She is the daughter of Jeff Hayes and Jamie Warren.
Emily Lievens is a member of the girls golf team, an Alpha Peer Leader, associated with the National Society of High School Scholars, and a member of Renaissance and Spirit Club. She also volunteers as a GCHS Freshman Workshop worker. She is the daughter of Joshua and Brittany Lievens.
