Granite City Community Unit School District #9 (GCSD9) has announced updates in preparation for the 2025-2026 school year, including new start and end times for various schools.
The schedule is as follows:
- Coolidge (7th-8th): 7:30 AM - 2:15 PM
- GCHS (9th-12th): 7:40 AM - 2:25 PM
- Frohardt, Grigsby, Maryville, Mitchell, Prather, Wilson (Kindergarten-6th): 8:20 AM - 3:05 PM
- Lake ESSC: 8:00 AM - 1:30 PM
- Grigsby/Prather Pre-K AM Session: 8:45 AM - 11:15 AM
- Grigsby/Prather Pre-K PM Session: 12:30 PM - 3:15 PM
Enrollment and registration for the upcoming school year will begin on June 2, 2025. The first day of student attendance for grades K-12 is scheduled for Thursday, August 14, 2025.
Additional notes include that all buildings except Lake will have a one-hour early dismissal on Wednesdays. The Grigsby/Prather PreK PM Session on Wednesdays will run from12 :30 PM to2 :00PM.
