Skyline High School made several announcements on March 5, 2025, pertaining to various school activities and opportunities.
The lunch menu featured Breaded Chicken Leg with Whole Grain Dinner Roll, Country Fried Steak with Whole Grain Dinner Roll, Mashed Potato & Gravy, Green Beans, Mixed Green Salad, and Assorted Fresh Fruit.
Seniors and their parents/guardians were informed about newly available spots for senior baby ads in the 2025 yearbook. Each ad costs $30 for one-eighth of a page. The sixteen open spots will be filled on a first-come-first-served basis. Ads must be purchased with cash or check and submitted by 3 pm on Wednesday, March 12. Interested parties should see Mrs. Green in room 126E for a Senior Baby Ad form.
The Student Council announced its spring blood drive scheduled for Tuesday, March 11. Sign-ups will take place on Wednesday the 5th and Friday the 7th during all lunch periods. Additionally, there will be a student council meeting this Friday in front of the auditorium. A Cereal Drive is set for that morning at 7:30 AM., with donations going to United Township Area Local Food Pantry. A suggestion box for ABC countdown ideas will also be available.
Gamer's Club is scheduled to meet this Friday from 3 to 5 PM in room149N.
In guidance news, students interested in business careers are encouraged to consider the Tippie Gateway Summer Program at the University of Iowa. Current high school juniors can choose between two sessions: June22–June27 or July13–18,2025.The free program allows participants to learn about business and college life while engaging with current Tippie business students, staff, professors, alums, local business owners, and professionals. Applications are open until April1st.

Additionally ,the United States Army National Guard will be present at UTHS today during all three lunch periods in the Commons area .Students interested in learning about opportunities offered by the Army National Guard are encouraged to visit their table .
Black Hawk College representatives will also visit UTHS this morning during Period4.Interested students should sign up in the Guidance Office .
