Skyline High School announces upcoming events and deadlines

Skyline High School made several announcements on March 7, 2025, relevant to students, parents, and guardians.

The cafeteria menu includes chicken patty sandwiches, fish sandwiches, cheeseburgers—all served on whole grain buns—mixed green salad, baby carrots, oven-baked French fries, and assorted fresh fruit.

Seniors and their parents/guardians are advised that there are newly open spots for senior baby ads in the 2025 yearbook. Each ad costs $30 for an eighth of a page. Sixteen spots are available on a first-come-first-served basis. Ads must be purchased with cash or check and submitted by 3 p.m. , Wednesday, March 12. Interested parties should see Mrs. Green in room 126E for a Senior Baby Ad form.

The Student Council will host its spring blood drive on Tuesday, March 11. Sign-ups will take place today during all lunch periods.

The Gamer's Club is scheduled to meet today from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in room 149N.

An event titled "Menstruation Madness" or "Period Party" is scheduled for next Wednesday. Coaches Larson, Alonso, and Davila have granted permission for students to miss track, softball or soccer practice without penalty to attend this event. Participants are encouraged to respond in Google Classroom so that organizers can arrange sufficient food and feminine products.

Seniors are reminded that many scholarship applications are due by March 13-- approximately one week away--with most being exclusive to UT students. Students should check the list on Google Classroom or visit the counseling office; Mrs.Drish is available for any questions.

Finally,"Football and Soccer Cheer tryouts" were announced with specific requirements including an updated physical exam record; virtual cheer/dance lessons; self-created chants; jumps; and optional tumbling routines.C linics will be held in Gym A on April First from five-thirty PM until seven PM as well as April Second within the same timeframe.Tryouts themselves occur April Fourth at four PM.More information can be found via flyers posted throughout school hallways.
