School announces state testing schedule and upcoming events

On April 11, 2025, an announcement detailed upcoming events and preparations at a local school.

The Chef Special for the day featured a Bacon Cheeseburger served on a Whole Grain Bun, accompanied by Baby Whole Carrot with Dip, Oven Baked French Fries, and Assorted Fresh Fruit.

From April 15th to 17th, UT Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors will participate in State Testing. On Tuesday, April 15th, Juniors are scheduled to take the online version of the ACT. Students are reminded to bring their charged Chromebooks, calculators, and pencils. Testing commences at 8 a.m., with dismissal at 1 p.m. A grab-and-go lunch will be available.

On Wednesday, April 16th, Sophomores will undertake the online Pre-ACT exam. Similar preparations apply with testing starting at 8 a.m. and dismissal set for noon.

Thursday, April 17th is reserved for Freshmen who will also take the online Pre-ACT test beginning at 8 a.m., concluding by noon.

Students are advised that attendance is only required on their respective testing days. Late admissions to tests are not permitted; therefore, punctuality is emphasized. Room assignments can be found in the entrance foyer and Commons area.

"It's that time of year! " said an announcement regarding this year's musical production of "Anything Goes. " The student matinee is scheduled for Friday, April 25th during the seventh and eighth periods. Tickets priced at $7 (cash only) go on sale Monday, April 20th before school starts and during lunch hours.

In guidance news: "Students," began one note about volunteering opportunities with the Hampton Youth Committee's "Memories with Mom" event on Sunday, May 4th from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at the Hampton Heritage Center. Interested volunteers should contact Mr. Davis\, the College & Career Advisor\, for further details.

Additional volunteering opportunities include an Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 19th at Heritage Park in Hampton and a "Color Run" hosted by Silvis School District on Saturday, May 17th from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Club news highlights that applications for Link Crew have been emailed to all sophomores and juniors with an application deadline set for April 21st. Inquiries can be directed to Ms. Lafontaine or Mrs. Drish or Ms. Torres.
