Lake Forest has announced its 2025 Street Resurfacing Program, aimed at improving road safety and performance through visual inspections and pavement testing. This year's initiative will focus on improving approximately 2.5 center-lane miles of streets and repairing 7,100 square yards of pavement patches throughout the city.
Peter Baker and Sons Inc. , the contracted company, will undertake asphalt resurfacing, infrastructure repairs, and the replacement of deteriorated curbs and sidewalks.
The project is scheduled to begin on May 1, 2025, with an estimated completion date in mid-July 2025. All work will be confined to the city's right-of-way, with any damage to parkways or driveways restored upon project completion. Residents will receive additional notices regarding any street or driveway closures during construction.
