Lake Bluff Public Library has announced that Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is now open for enrollment in Lake County, thanks to the Lake County Regional Office of Education Foundation (LCROEF). This program delivers a free, high- quality book each month to every child from birth to age five, regardless of family income, aiming to foster a lifelong love of reading.

“Access to books at an early age is one of the most effective ways to build literacy skills and prepare children for success in kindergarten and beyond,” said Michael Karner, Lake County regional superintendent of schools, in the Daily Herald.

For questions about enrollment or further information, residents can call (847) 234-2540 or email the Reference Desk.

The library expressed its enthusiasm for supporting young readers through this initiative.
