Joanna Ford Assistant Superintendent for Student Services | Deerfield Public Schools District 109
The Referendum Task Force convened for its second meeting on May 7. Members toured the district, visiting South Park and Kipling, and began with a tour of Wilmot. District 109 Assistant Superintendent of Finance & Operations John Filippi, along with representatives from Arcon Architects, presented potential plans for construction and renovation of elementary schools, as well as financing options.
The Task Force aims to gather information, provide feedback, and help shape a responsible proposal informed by the community. This proposal will be shared more broadly in the fall. No decisions have been made yet. District 109 emphasizes its commitment to listening carefully to community input throughout this process.
In the fall, there will be opportunities for the community to learn about the status of the district's facilities and finances and provide input on addressing needs.
