Lake County has announced a job fair scheduled to take place in Round Lake Beach on June 24, 2025. The event will provide networking opportunities and on-the-spot interviews with employers from various industries.

According to Lake County, the Hire Lake County Round Lake Beach Job Fair will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at 2007 N Civic Center Way in Round Lake Beach, Illinois. Veterans will have early access to the event starting at 10:30 a.m. The fair aims to connect job seekers with potential employers by offering immediate interviews and networking opportunities. Participants are encouraged to register in advance to explore employment options and engage with hiring companies. This initiative is organized in collaboration with partner organizations to enhance local workforce engagement.

The Lake County Workforce Development Board acts as a business-led policy and oversight entity for workforce programs and services throughout the county. Its mission is to ensure that the workforce is equipped for current demands and future challenges, with a vision of leading a system that supports a highly skilled labor force while strengthening the region’s economy and quality of life. The board collaborates with stakeholders to develop strategic workforce solutions, align resources with economic needs through sector strategies and career pathways, and analyze labor market data to support both job seekers and employers.

The board emphasizes inclusive service delivery to meet present employer demands and future talent requirements. A comprehensive communications program has been established to increase awareness about available services and the board’s role in workforce planning. The Job Center of Lake County provides job search workshops, job fairs, and virtual events, detailed in its monthly Career Solution e-newsletter. Located in Waukegan, it operates weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., closing for an hour at noon. Veterans receive priority service at the center which also offers assistance with unemployment insurance, voter registration, and anonymous feedback options. Services adhere to equal opportunity and accessibility standards and are funded by grants.
