City of Highwood Committee of the Whole met May 20

CALL TO ORDER by Mayor Pecaro at 6:07 PM

1. Roll Call

Present: Aldermen Bauer, Hanson, Peterson, Markoutsas

Absent: Aldermen Fiore and Slavin

Also Present: City Manager Coren, Assistant City Manager Facchini and Attorney Jablecki.

3.1. City Council: May 06, 2025

Minutes will be approved at the Regular City Council Meeting.

4. Appointments

5. Review of Bill Warrant List

5.1. 05/20/2025 AP Warrant List

The Warrant List will be approved at the Regular City Council Meeting.

7. New Business

7.1. Consideration of March 2025 Treasure Report

The March 2025 Treasure Report will be approved at the Regular City Council Meeting.

7.2. Consideration of an ordinance approving a special use permit to allow operation of a vape shop at 417 Sheridan Road – Vape 312

This will be approved at the Regular City Council Meeting.

7.3. Consideration of the FY 2025 Budget.

No action will be taken; this item will be further discussed at a future Committee of the Whole and City Council Meeting.

7.4. A motion authorizing the City Manager to purchase Meridian Traffic Barriers in an amount not to exceed $130,000.

This item will be approved at the Regular City Council Meeting.

7.5. Discussion regarding the City’s Street Sign replacement plan.

No action will be taken on this item.

10. Adjournment motion made by Alderman Markoutsas and seconded by Alderman Peterson to adjourn the Committee of the Whole meeting. All present voting aye, by voice vote, motion carried. Mayor Pecaro adjourned the meeting at 7:46 PM.
