JB Goff Board Vice President | Tri Valley Community Unit School District 3
The Tri-Valley Board of Education has announced a vacancy following the resignation of Mrs. Jessica Alt. The term for this seat will expire in April 2027.
Interested candidates are invited to submit a letter of interest, along with a résumé and a brief overview of their qualifications for serving as an effective School Board Member. Letters should be addressed to the Unit Office Secretary and delivered to the Tri-Valley Unit Office at 410 E Washington Street by July 18, 2025.
Eligibility criteria include residency in Tri-Valley, excluding Old Town Township due to board policy limiting representation from any single township to three members. Additional requirements stipulate that candidates must be United States citizens, at least 18 years old, have resided in Tri-Valley for at least one year prior to appointment, be registered voters, not hold roles as school trustees or treasurers, and comply with state law regarding child sex offender status.
The new board member is expected to be seated at the August 20th Board Meeting.
