Argo Community High School in District 217 is preparing to welcome the incoming Freshman Class of 2029 and new transfer students. As part of this initiative, each student will receive a Dell computer that functions as both a laptop and a tablet. The device includes a touchscreen, stylus, and battery charger to aid in note-taking.

To obtain the school-issued device, families must complete the district’s online registration. Those who have not registered yet can do so at www.argohs.net/registration or contact the registration helpdesk at 708.728.8787 for assistance. It is important to note that students will not receive their devices until registration is completed and verified by Thursday, July 31st.

The laptop pick-up days are scheduled for Wednesday, August 6th from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM and Thursday, August 7th from 1:30 PM to 6:30 PM in Room 118 (Commons). Attendees should park in the west lot and enter through the main entrance. Student supervisors will be available to guide visitors.

Once students receive their laptops, they are advised to ensure the devices are fully charged for their first day on Tuesday, August 12th. Staff members will assist with the onboarding process.

Freshmen currently enrolled in summer school who have already received a laptop do not need to attend the pick-up day. Future updates regarding laptop distribution will be communicated via email, text messages, the ACHS website, and social media platforms.

For any questions about laptop pickup, parents or guardians can contact Mrs. Willis or Mr. Dagres at 708.467.5504 or email awillis@argohs.net.

"Have a great rest of your summer!" said Mr. Dagres, Assistant Principal of Teaching and Learning at Argo Community High School.
