City of Highwood Committee of the Whole met July 15

CALL TO ORDER By Mayor Pecaro at 6:01 PM

1. Roll Call

Present: Alderman Bauer, Hanson, Fiore, Peterson, Markoutsas, Slavin

Also present: City Manager Coren, Assistant City Manager Facchini, Administrative Assistant Hunt, and Attorney Jablecki.

2. Public Hearing

2.1. Public Hearing for Annual Appropriation Ordinance for Fiscal Year 2025/2026

Motion made by Alderman Fiore and seconded by Alderman Peterson to open public hearing, all present voting aye by voice vote; the motion passed. There were no comments from the public regarding the appropriations ordinance.

Motion made by Alderman Fiore and seconded by Alderman Peterson to close the public hearing. All present voting aye by voice vote, the motion passed.

3. Review of Minutes to be Approved

3.2. City Council: July 1, 2025

7. New Business

7.1. Consideration of an Ordinance Providing the Appropriations for the Fiscal Year beginning May 1, 2025 and ending April 30, 2026.

Council will vote on this during the regular City Council Meeting.

7.2. Consideration of an Ordinance regarding a Special Use Permit for Planned Unti Development, Rezoning of Property from R-1 to PUD, and Approval of the Preliminary Plat for Planned Unit Development for Midwest Young Artists Vacant Property Located on North Sheridan Road (PIN 16-10-401-014)

The Council heard a presentation given by MYAC, and will vote on this during the regular City Council Meeting.
