Grayslake North High School welcomed students back for the 2025–26 school year on Wednesday, August 13. The start of the new academic year was marked by students reconnecting with friends and engaging in new classes.

The school introduced this year’s theme, “Do Something That Brings You Joy!” Staff greeted students at the entrances with cheers and high-fives. Activities throughout the day included games and classic challenges such as tug-of-war and Twister on the football field.

“This is the kind of start we strive for—joyful, welcoming, and filled with possibility,” said Principal Dr. Jim Roscoe. “We’re proud of the positive energy our students and staff brought this week, and we are beyond excited for all the adventures this year will bring.”
