All schools in the Granite City Community Unit School District 9 (GCSD9) will dismiss one hour early on Wednesday, August 20, as part of the district’s regular Wednesday schedule. The only exception is the Lake Educational Support Services Center, which will operate according to its normal hours.
The early-out schedule for Wednesday is as follows: Coolidge Junior High School will run from 7:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.; Granite City High School from 7:40 a.m. to 1:25 p.m.; and elementary schools—Frohardt, Grigsby, Maryville, Mitchell, Prather, and Wilson—from 8:20 a.m. to 2:05 p.m. For Grigsby/Prather Pre-K students, the morning session remains unchanged at 8:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., while the afternoon session will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Lake Educational Support Services Center's hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with no early dismissal.
Parents are reminded that they can monitor their student’s bus by installing First View 1.0 from the App Store or Google Play using the district code V2Z3A along with their student's ID and last name.
Granite City Community Unit School District 9 serves Madison County and includes Coolidge Junior High School, Frohardt Elementary School, Granite City High School, Grigsby Intermediate School, Maryville Elementary School, Mitchell Elementary School, Prather Elementary School, and Wilson Elementary School (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/).
