City of North Chicago Committee of the Whole met July 21

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

In the absence of Mayor Leon Rockingham, Jr. Temporary Chairman Alderman Allen called the Committee of the Whole Meeting to order.

ROLL CALL:

Present: Jackson, Coleman, Evans, Allen, Wray, Murphy, Brooks

Absent: None

I. DISCUSSION OF DEPARTMENT MONTHLY REPORTS:

➢ Economic Development ➢ Police

➢ Engineer – no report ➢ Public Works

➢ Finance Budget Report ➢ Treasurer – June

➢ Fire ➢ Water

➢ Human Resources

Alderman Jackson asked the Police and Fire Departments to give overview of the reports. Police Chief Lazaro Perez provided the report. Alderman Coleman asked if report could be broken down by ward or a particular area. Alderman Allen thanked the Police Department for providing ice cream to the children.

Fire Lieutenant Herrera provided the statistics that were in the report. He also noted North Chicago was the only City on the north shore with a jet ski for water rescue. They were actively training.

II. DISCUSSION OF BI-MONTHLY REVIEW OF SERVICES PROVIDED BY INTERDEV FOR CITY-WIDE MANAGED IT SERVICES:

Chief of Staff Greg Jackson explained that the reports were provided at the Aldermen’s requests. There were no questions.

Alderman Jackson moved, seconded by Alderman Evans that the Committee of the Whole stand adjourned.
