Information Technology Services at Lake Forest College, in partnership with Public Safety and Facilities Management, has completed a comprehensive upgrade of the campus security system ahead of the upcoming academic year. The project included the installation of 113 new cameras and 108 card readers across 29 buildings on campus, covering all residence halls. The update replaces older access control and surveillance systems.
The college confirmed that existing campus ID cards will continue to work with the new systems, allowing students, faculty, and staff to transition without disruption.
“These enhancements strengthen campus safety, improve reliability, and streamline operations,” said Ravi Agarwal, Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer. “This is an important step forward in our ongoing commitment to fostering a safe and secure campus environment.”
