Round Lake schools announce Labor Day closure for all offices and buildings

All district offices and buildings of Round Lake Community Unit School District 116 will be closed on Monday, September 1, in observance of Labor Day. The closure applies to all students and staff, with normal business hours set to resume on Tuesday.

The announcement affects the entire school district, which includes Indian Hill Elementary School, Magee Middle School, Pleviak Elementary School, Raymond Ellis Elementary School, Round Lake Beach Elementary School, Round Lake Middle School, Round Lake Senior High School, Village Elementary School, and W.J. According to the Illinois State Board of Education, the district employs 512 teachers who earn an average salary of $69,620 before pension contributions.
