Lake Forest residents have the opportunity to participate in the Citizens Police Academy, offering an inside look at police operations. The program includes sessions on use of force, DUI enforcement, ride-alongs, and firearms training. Scheduled for Wednesday evenings from October 1 through December 17, a few spots remain available for those interested. More information can be found on the City of Lake Forest's website.

The academy aims to provide participants with a better understanding of the various functions of the Lake Forest Police Department. Although it does not train individuals to become police officers, it offers valuable insights into law enforcement activities.

For those curious about what the experience entails, highlights from a previous session are available online.
